If you want to see events of one type, for example, only birthdays, you should change category. You can do it in the main window by tapping this item:

If you want to change the year for which events are shown you should tap this:    

At the bottom of the main window you can see quick search of the event (Look Up field), input the first letters of the event you want to find and it will be marked.

There are also two arrows at the bottom of the window, use them to scroll the events.

You can change the category for which the events are shown by selecting it in the popup list.

1. To create the new event, first tap the New button.
2. Choose the category for this event using the popup list in the Event line.
3. Then enter the name of the event. It can be a name of the person, for example, if it is the birthday event. You can also tap the icon , to select the name from Contacts database.
4. Set the date of the event in the Date line.
5. In the Alarm line, you should choose the alarm time. 
6. You can also set the prealarm time if you want to get reminding about the event some days before.
7. In the Sound line, select the alarm sound for the event.
8. If you want to attach some information about the event press the Note button.

At last press the Done button to fix the new event.

After selecting any event in the main window View Event window opens. Here you can find detailed information about the event. There is information for the birthday event in the screenshot (for events of other types information in this window differs). Horoscope is shown only for birthday events, program includes two types of horoscope: Zodiac and Chinese. To read the horoscope you should tap the sign area .

Besides you can also read the note attached to this event (Note button), edit the event (Edit button) and delete it (Delete button).

There is the Edit Categories window in the screenshot. It can be opened by tapping Options->Edit Categories in the system menu. Here you can create (New button) and edit  (Edit button) event categories. You can also delete categories but not these four which are in the screenshot because they are predefined ones. You can only change their names and icons.

Here you can see how to create the new event category. You have to input name for the category, for example, Soccer Matches and attach icon to it. Icon is selected in the special window which is displayed after tapping on the icon area (in this example it is the area where the ball is drawn). You can see Choose icon window below.

In this window you can choose the icon, for this purpose, simply tap the desired one.
